YDYżo 4×1.5 450/750 V is a flat installation cable in a white PVC sheath, with solid copper conductors, sold in 100 m coils.

Application

The YDYżo cable is designed for permanent installation without additional mechanical protection. It is suitable for surface-mounted and concealed installations, in both dry and damp environments.

Construction and specifications

The conductors are solid and copper. The core insulation and the outer sheath are made of PVC, and the sheath is white. The cores are identified by colour; the product data cites PN-HD 308 S2:2007 and gives the colours: in the two-core version blue and brown, in the three-core blue, green-and-yellow and brown, and in the four-core with a protective conductor black, brown, green-and-yellow and grey. The "żo" in the type designation marks the version with a protective conductor. The operating temperature is from −30 °C to +70 °C. The same product data gives the standards PN-E-90060:1987 and PN-EN 50525-1:2011.

How to choose

The conductor cross-section is matched to the load of the circuit and its protective device — the current values are worth discussing with a qualified electrician. The rated voltage follows from the installation design: some cross-sections exist in both the 300/500 V and the 450/750 V version. The number of cores depends on whether the circuit requires a protective conductor.
